Another visit from Grammy and Aunt Pam (July 29)
Andrea had her doctors appointment that week and weighed 9 pounds. She was 9 weeks old and 21.5 inches long. the nurse had to re-measure because she could not believe she grew 2 inches in 1 month! We think she is going to be tall!!
Dillon and Adam holding Andrea. We also had a day at the beach again, this time Andrea got in the water and she absolutely loved it. Grammy and Aunt Pam brought lots of toys for Andrea. She is going to have everything her little heart desires and then some. She loves her toys, photo's to come!!

We had our first family portrait made together. A birthday gift for me from Aunt Pam.

Today
We went to the beach again...here she is with her suit from Aunt Lynn (It almost fits now).

...then I invite you to go take a look at another great family's blog.
Okay, it's my sister, but it's another cool blog nonetheless.

First Sunday back to Sunday School at Prestonwood
Our Sunday School teacher at Prestonwood is Zig Ziglar. Andrea loved the sound of his voice and slept all the way through it!

Growing up
So, we had our 2 week appointment with our Pediatrician on Friday. We were a little anxious about it, mainly concerned with whether or not Andrea was gaining enough weight. She was 4 pounds and 11 ounces at birth, and the next day at the Pediatrician's she was 4 pounds and 6 ounces.
It's normal for newborns to lose weight after they are born, and typically they are back to their birthweight within 2 weeks. It's hard to tell how much nutrition she's getting when breastfeeding. It's not like you can measure it or anything like when using a bottle, so that's mainly what we were concerned about.
As it turned out, though, we had no need for concern. She weighed 5 pounds and six ounces at our doctor visit. She had gained 1 pound in 2 weeks so we were relieved.
So yes, it appears that our little girl is growing up.

Bring on the Pics....!!!
Everyone wants to see more pictures of the baby, so, Here is your Memorial Day Picture Stream!

She's asleep a lot more than she's awake, so, you have to act fast to get shots like this.

Proud mommy

She loves to sleep.

Her first bath...she wasn't very happy about it.

Daddy loves his little girl.

I'm pretty sure that she could sleep through a hurricane.

Daddy keeping her entertained...

...and telling her some "secrets".

Mommy, Daddy, Andrea, and our other baby...Sunshine (the golden retriever).

Grammy loves her new grandaughter.
